I'm Dead!

"Katie always wanted to have a good time. It was no surprise to me that she died performing on stage. At least she was in London," said Sean Cooke, a close friend of Mary Kathryn Hargrave.

Hargrave died Tuesday night while performing in London when an amplifier blew up onstage. Music was a life-long passion of Hargrave, and she was particularly fond of rock n roll. She even looked the part of a rocker with her studded denim jackets and piercings. She played the bass and guitar, wrote her own songs, and hoped to one day form her own band.

Hargrave was in London at an audition for an up-and-coming band being created by British rocker Jarvis Cocker. The music of Jarvis Cocker was another passion of Hargrave's. Her friends say they will always tell the story of how she looked up Jarvis Cocker in the London phonebook and sent him a demo tape. They say her stalking paid off by landing her the audition.

**This was written by a fellow student in my Media Writing class today, when we had to write each other's obituaries, and be creative about it. Pretty accurate, I'd say. ;)
